Joël Valenzuela works full-time as a writer and activist fighting for liberty. He runs The Desert Lynx, a website specializing in bringing the libertarian perspective to the educated layperson, and the Rights Brigade, a citizen activism organization. Joël has over a decade of experience in public policy, working for such organizations as the Cato Institute, the Western Center for Journalism, and the White House under George W. Bush. After an illustrious budding career in public policy, Joël left it all to move to NH as part of the FSP in 2013. In his spare time, he teaches martial arts, is a multi-instrumentalist musician, and drinks way too much coffee.
