Bio: Cody Adams serves a consultant for wellbeing and employee engagement at the Indianapolis headquarters of Roche Diagnostics North America. For the past 5 years, Cody has assisted in the leadership of the internal health and wellbeing strategy, including the employee fitness center, onsite health clinic and all wellbeing initiatives created to enhance employee work/life integration.
Cody brings his employee engagement and corporate wellbeing experience to Roche as an advocate for a progressive, employee-centric corporate culture. As the team leader for internal and external benchmarking efforts at Roche, including FORTUNE Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” (Roche is #70) and Working Mother’s “100 Best Companies designation”, he is known for his passion in employee engagement.
As a native Hoosier, Cody earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Ball State University.
Sr. Program Manager, Workplace Health, American Heart Association | American Stroke Association
Bio: As Sr. Program Manager of Workplace Health at the American Heart Association, Heather is responsible for creating and executing strategic plans to increase the market presence of AHA’s workplace health resources and services. She also acts as the liaison between our field and national Workplace Health Solutions team. This entails training across the association’s business functions, cultivating new partners and providing feedback on the development new tools to support implementation.
With more than over 20 years’ experience in public health, nutrition education and community planning, Gavras has held a variety of positions at the American Heart Association. In previous roles, she’s established long-standing relationships with the Cook County Department of Public Health, Illinois Chapter of ACC, and the Illinois Public Health Institute as well as worked with national sponsors including Aramark, Aetna and Medtronic.
She earned her BS in Consumer Health Sciences from Miami University in Ohio. After completing her dietetic internship at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, she began her career as a clinical dietitian at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. She also holds a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a focus on health promotion.
Heather is a member of the American Public Health Association and Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
