**Free Tailored Trustee Training**
One lucky person can win free training for your charity's Trustees, by simply entering our competition. We will work with you to tailor the focus of the training so that it's most suitable and adds most value for your team.
One entry per person, but no limit per Charity- so if your colleagues are at the conference, get them to our stand to enter too and increase your chances of winning.
The winner will be drawn at random at 12pm Friday 11 December and posted here shortly after - so don't forget to come back before you leave the conference to check if you're the lucky winner.
Good luck, and we look forward to [virtually] meeting you all - don't forget to say hi to the team and see what else we have on our 'stand'.
We understand what sets charitable organisation...
We understand what sets charitable organisations apart – creating social value, not profit. BDO’s national charity team, established for over 25 years and comprising over 250 specialists located across the UK, has a comprehensive knowledge of charity finance, which is why many of the larger registered charities have come to us. Like our clients, we recognise the importance of personal service delivered by charity specialists.
Join our 'Reluctant IT Director' live session during the conference on Thursday 10 December at 12.15 for an update on the challenges of maintaining an effective IT solution for your charity as a non-IT technical individual.
Wherever you are, our national charity team can help
BDO’s charities team supports over 500 national and international Not for Profit organisations across audit, accounting, taxation, governance and other advisory services, as well as providing insights into topical developments in the sector and regular training opportunities. Charities are special – at BDO, we understand this. We understand the unique issues from your perspective, which allows us to give practical advice, and our pragmatic approach ensures that we see the wider picture, not just the technicalities. This means that not only are our specialists very familiar with the requirements of the Charities Act and the Charities SORP, they also have day to day knowledge of the issues currently faced by charities in today’s economic environment. By working together with our clients, we look to solve their problems, anticipate those that may lie ahead and help them take advantage of opportunities as they arise. And when the world is hit by a global pandemic, we're here to help you manage the impact and rethink the new reality. Our dedicated pages provide advice and practical guidance: https://www.bdo.co.uk/en-gb/insights/industries/not-for-profit/charities-and-covid19
We know that in order to do this and lead our clients through the changes and challenges they face, we must continue to be actively involved in the charity and wider not for profit sector. As such, we are members of key sector and professional groups, including ACEVO. In this way, we are able to understand and contribute to the research and development of the issues affecting the sector. Our Partners are consulted at a national level on a variety of issues from strategy and policy to compliance and regulatory control.
Only with this unique sector knowledge and experience, can we truly understand our clients and be able to share valuable guidance and insight to help them succeed. We are committed to helping charities and social enterprises excel at what they do best – helping others.
