The pharmaceutical industry is big business and has massive influence all over the world - on people's health, government decisions and the course of scientific research. While in wealthier countries, drugs, including those whose efficacy is questionable, are often over-prescribed, the majority of the world’s population has limited access to essential medicines. Important investigative work has been done, led by the experts and journalists on this impressive panel, but it's a global industry ripe for further digging.

French translation for this session is provided by CFI, the French media development organization.
