The #MeToo movement has had important impact in Asia generally and on Asian media in particular. Ying Chan, founder of Hong Kong University's Journalism & Media Studies Centre, will report on how Chinese freelancers and citizen journalists are forcing universities to take charges of harassment and abuse seriously. And Shiori Ito will talk about how her reporting on sexual violence in Japan has put #MeToo on the map in that country. Law professor Doreen Weisenhaus will provide an American perspective on the dramatic impact the movement has had on US culture and the media.
