The New World of Satellite Imagery
10:45 AM - 12:00 PM
Sat Oct 6, 2018
Topaz (3rd Floor)

Description

A new generation of satellites is giving journalists powerful tools for discovery and analysis, with higher resolution and broader coverage than ever before. Already journalists are using satellite imagery to report on conflicts, climate change, refugees, forest fires, illegal mining, oil spills, deforestation, and slavery. But that's just the beginning. With many companies willing to work with journalists for free or minimal cost, now is the time to get familiar with this extraordinary and growing industry.
