Maria Koniuck is presently the Sergeant of the Winnipeg Police Service Counter Exploitation and Missing Person’s Unit. She has been a police officer for 24 years gaining experience in Undercover operations and Exploitation investigations. In her leadership capacity, she is responsible for providing guidance, coordinating projects, and covert operations related to the sex industry.

Description

Provide law enforcement attendees with methods deployed by the Winnipeg Police Service as a means of detecting youth prostitution and persons that try to exploit them.  Many organizations may have limited resources, but the opportunity to conduct projects may not be out of your agency’s grasp to try.  I will also provide what worked and what didn’t for us in our trial and error, so you can learn from our mistakes.
