After studying computer science and business administration at the University of Dortmund, Dr Rudolf Felix received his doctorate in the field of decision support systems and fuzzy logic. In 1992 he founded PSI FLS Fuzzy Logik & Neuro Systeme GmbH and continuously developed PSI FLS’s own Deep Qualicision AI technology. Based on machine learning and qualitative labeling, the Qualicision technology uses decision and optimization algorithms combined with other relevant AI technologies. Being a cross-sectional technology, the systems are successfully used in productive sectors such as automotive industry, automotive supplier industry, energy industry, transport logistics, local public transport as well as retail. Since 2008 the Qualicision technology has been completing the software and applications of the Berlin PSI Software group. In addition to his executive activities, Dr. Rudolf Felix also deals with the strategic integration of AI technologies in software products of all PSI business units and coordinates AI activities in the PSI group. Among other activities, he is member of the European Society of Fuzzy Logic and Technology, EUSFLAT and author of numerous scientific and practice-oriented publications and essays.

Currently the transformation of the multimodal transportation ecosystem is happening now – changes are rapid and involve all modes of transportation. New players use the power of real-time data to offer personalized door-to-door travel and logistics services. At the same time there is an expressed need for an economical, flexible, safe, and more sustainable way to get from A to B by road, rail or water – using all available innovative ways since:
- in most EU countries entrants are challenging the existing transport practices and services naming them as unable to fully satisfy a never-ending demanding audience;
- providers leverage the use of mobiles to create new relationships with travelers;
- societies have to reduce their CO2 footprint, thus, sustainability becomes an important additional aspect of mobility and our mobility concepts;
