Director of Technology, Innovation and Sustainability, SPRI - Basque Business Development Agency
Cristina Oyon is Director of Technology, Innovation and Sustainability at SPRI, the Basque Business Development Agency in Spain. She is currently responsible for the design and implementation of the Smart Specialisation Strategy in the Basque region and manages the funds for fostering industrial R&D in the region. Her experience in research, development and innovation policies, public funds management and public-private and international cooperation is cross-sectoral and has the overall aim of seeking long term impact in economic growth and well-being, at regional and European level Her job and personal interests have an outward looking dimension that lead her to collaborate with several international organisations as BEI, OECD, UNIDO. She has been Member of the Industry 2030 High Level Industrial Roundtable of the European Commission, which gave advice on the European Industrial Strategy and is currently leading the Women in Manufacturing Expert Group of the World Manufacturing Forum.
