Ralf Heyder (Master in Political Science and Economics) is the Director for External Networking and Strategic Cooperation at the Charité - Academic Medical Center in Berlin, Germany. He began working for the Charité in January 2020. Since March of 2020, he has been building a Covid-19 research network, which includes all German academic medical centers. From 2013-2019 Ralf Heyder served as the Secretary General of the German Association of Academic Medical Centers (VUD). Prior to that (2006-2013) he was part of the senior leadership that first established the VUD headquarters in Berlin. Other positions of his career history included managing the office of a German Member of Parliament, who served on the health care committee; working as an analyst for the German Hospital Association (DKG) on political and regulatory issues surrounding healthcare and hospitals at both the German and EU levels; and as a consultant at a business strategy consultancy.
