Standards Manager - Innovation, Policy and Business Development, National Standards Authority of Ireland

Fergal manages a group of Standards development officers in the areas such Innovation, ICT and advanced manufacturing at Ireland's National Standards Body, NSAI. He represents Ireland at the EC Multi-Stakeholder Platform for ICT Standardization and liaises with Irish Government Departments on Standardization issues. Fergal sits on the Irish National Steering Committee for Collaborative Robotics that is tasked with expediting collaborative robotics in the Irish manufacturing setting. NSAI is leading an national project on standards in Artificial Intelligence as well as convening the ISO Working Group on Trustworthiness in AI.

This Expert Panel Session will discuss the priority standards of the Digital Single Market and will explore future and ongoing technology standards initiatives. The objective is to identify industry, academic and societal priorities for standards development by discussing with international experts and to promote Standards Engagement.
