Angela Bowman, MSN, APRN, ANP-BC --- Angela Bowman is a board-certified nurse practitioner who obtained her Bachelor of Nursing degree (BSN) May 2004 and Master of Nursing degree (MSN) from Wayne State University May 2012. Prior to transitioning into the role of nurse practitioner, Angela worked in Henry Ford Hospital's Neuro-ICU as a RN for 9.5 years. During that time, Angela was promoted to the role of Assistant Clinical Manager and served in that role throughout her graduate studies at Wayne State University and until completing and successfully passing the ANCC (American Nurse Credentialing Center) nurse practitioner certification boards. Currently, Angela has been working as a hospitalist nurse practitioner for the past 8.5 years at DMC-Harper University Hospital. In addition to her current practice, Angela is also pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at the University of Michigan-Flint, with a potential matriculation date of Fall/Winter 2022. Angela has been happily married to her husband, Albert for 31 years and have (2) grown children, a son, Alaric age 28 and a daughter, Ariel, age 23. Angela has been an active member of the United Methodist Church for over 20+ years with membership at former Berea-St. Paul United Methodist Church and now currently Scott Memorial United Methodist Church. She currently serves as the Chairperson of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church’s Health and Wellness Ministry as well as is an active member of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church’s Voices of Praise Choir (Soprano). Angela is a proud member of Sigma Thea Tau Nursing Honor Society. She is also an active member of Chi Eta Phi, Lambda Chi Chapter, a professional nursing sorority. In her spare time, Angela enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and children. She is an avid pursuer of new knowledge and upon completing her DNP degree, plans to transition into academia as an instructor of nursing.
