Founder & executive director, Forbidden Stories
Laurent Richard is a French documentary filmmaker, producer, and founder of Forbidden Stories, a network of investigative journalists devoted to keeping stories alive.This award-winning consortium of journalists is continuing the work of threatened, jailed, assassinated journalists. Their first project was the Daphne Project. Richard has directed investigative documentaries for 20 years, and co-founded the french investigative television program, Cash Investigation. Laurent Richard was a Knight-Wallace Fellow in 2017 at the University of Michigan and was named European Journalist of the year 2018 by the Prix Europa in Berlin
