Irving Huerta

Goldsmiths University

Irving Huerta is a PhD candidate at Goldsmiths, University of London, based in the Politics and the Media, Communications and Cultural Studies departments, with the project “Counter-Investigations: towards a framework for truth production in Mexico”. With a background as an investigative reporter, his research revolves around journalism and political theory in Latin America. He has collaborated with the Turner Prize nominee Forensic Architecture, in the visual reconstruction of enforced disappearances in Mexico.

Irving Huerta presents the results of interviews with a group of female reporters reporters who have already challenged given assumptions of journalism epistemology in Mexico to create a framework for truth production.

Yunus Erduran’s research analyzes the outcomes of data journalism training sessions that were specifically designed for citizens with diverse backgrounds in Turkey.
