Andrea England is fully immersed in both the creative and business sides of the music industry. She is a respected singer-songwriter, the founder, curator, and host of Toronto’s hottest songwriter series, Four Chords & the Truth, and she has also released two critically-acclaimed albums - the last of which was produced by Grammy-winning producer, Colin Linden. She regularly lands songwriting cuts with artists the likes of CCMA Female Artist of the Year, Meghan Patrick, and Popstar/Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger (for which she received a UK Gold Record). A member of the Board of Directors of the Songwriters Association of Canada, Andrea also teaches Lyric Writing 1 in Seneca College’s Independant Songwriting and Performance program, and is the Business Analyst and Web Services Product Manager at the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency, a SoundExchange company, where Andrea is the primary steward for CMRRA’s web service offerings, including the Unclaimed Works Portal. A true East-coaster, Andrea was born in Nova Scotia and gained degrees from St. Francis Xavier and Dalhousie Universities before continuing her studies at University of Toronto. She earnestly describes her life as “all music – all the time.”
