Valay Singh is a journalist author and strong advocate for civil rights and liberties.Since 2017 he has worked as a consultant with the Tata Trust where he works in the advocacy and policy unit, over there he has several responsibilities but most particularly, over the past 18 months Mr Singh has worked with overseen and brought to fruition a complex project to publish The India Justice Report 2019, a first ever ranking of the capacity, including financial resources, of Indian states to deliver justice. This involves, managing all aspects of the project including convening, commissioning research, evaluating the accuracy of the narrative and statistics and designing strategic outreach for advocacy. The report was launched in November 2019.
