SVP Business Development, Bitfury Surround

Fabian Alsultany is the Senior Vice President of Business Development for Bitfury Surround, a global asset management and commerce platform for music intellectual property integrating the latest blockchain, fingerprint audio detection, big data, AI, and machine learning technologies to an integrated SaaS platform. Alsultany’s experience has spanned music, live events, emerging tech, and wellness. He has been working in the music and live events industry for over 25 years. Previous to Surround, he served as Director of Business Development for the blockchain platform, RChain Cooperative, where he focused on the development of music technologies related to the future of streaming, micropayments, and digital identity. As VP of Programming for Wanderlust Festivals, he curated seven weekend-long festivals and 40 single-day events in top urban markets to an estimated total audience of over 150,000 people. He served as the lead business advisor for the largest concert in the history of Cuba, with 450,000 people arriving to see Major Lazer. Alsultany has served in executive positions at Palm Pictures as Director of A&R, alongside industry legend Chris Blackwell (Island Records, Bob Marley, U2) and with Putumayo World Music as Director of Festivals & Tours. He founded and produced the 2012 Tadasana Festival of Yoga and Music in Santa Monica in partnership with Kevin Wall (LiveAid, Live Earth) and has toured internationally as a DJ and musician, releasing multiple albums as an artist and producer. He presently releases music as The Skies Between.

This session (NOT A TYPICAL PANEL!), will focus on international collaboration of the music community, exemplified by the co-sponsors, speakers and Screen X Screen, who together work for all; across country and language differences, for creators, fans and committed music executives in all areas to facilitate international trade and development. It will offer introductions and connections for all participants in a fast paced, informative, networking bonanza. It's a result of 5 years of CAB and Mondo, all with LyricFind support, and 4 years of all of us, including many of the speakers, working closely with Indie Week and with CIMA and many others. In a tragic time for too many, we come together to celebrate the individuals and organizations, including all Indie Week delegates, who continue to network, learn, move forward, solve problems, work together, beyond any perceived differences, always for mutual benefit. It will be fun! Chats and direct messages will be flowing. Just afterwards, there will be a networking afterparty of breakout rooms, as I'm sure you've all experienced on Zoom over the past months.
