Judith Matloff

Judith Matloff teaches conflict reporting at Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism and has pioneerd safety training for media around the world, consulting for a wide range of international organizations. Her fourth book, "How to Drag a Body and Other Safety Tips You Hoped You'd Never Need," is a manual to survive hacking, hurricanes and other hazards that life throws at us. It will be published by Harper Collins in May 2020. Matloff was a staff correspondent for Reuters and the Christian Science Monitor on several continents before breaking out as an essayist and author. She has written for numerous publications including the N.Y. Times, L.A. Times and Wall Street Journal, and her work has been supported by the MacArthur Foundation, the Fulbright Scholar Program and Hoover Institution. She belongs to PEN.
