Journalist

Bill Morlin, a working journalist since 1967, has covered extremists and domestic terrorism issues since 1980. As a reporter who spent 37 years at The Spokesman-Review, he covered the Aryan Nations, Ruby Ridge, the Montana Freeman and the militia movement. Since retiring from the Spokane newspaper in 2009, he has continued covering domestic extremism, both as a freelancer and formerly as a correspondent for Hatewatch and Intelligence Report. He has written about white supremacists, sovereign citizens, hate crimes and Charlottesville. He assisted in coverage of Bunkerville and Malheur and the Bundy trial in Las Vegas. He currently is writing a book about the “Rise and Fall of the Aryan Nations.”
