Data Journalism Lecturer / Co-Founder She is a lecturer of data journalism working at Kadir Has University in the New Media department since 2014 in İstanbul. She is a co-founder of a number of data journalist news portals: Dağ Medya, Data Journalism Platform Turkey , Open Data and Data Journalism Association  and Data Literacy Association  in Turkey. She awarded the best woman data journalist of the 2018 in Turkey. She teaches the entire process of data journalism: how to collect data, how to filter + analyze data, how to clean messy data, and how to visualize data to tell a story. Outside of Academia, she also gives workshops and training about data literacy; open data, data journalism and data visualization. She also provided the first-ever Turkish massive open online course in Turkey about Data Literacy and Open Data training. She  finished the translation of The Data Visualisation Catalogue into Turkish with her data journalism students. Now she works on open data advocacy and local open data index projects with 7 people in Turkey.

Web scraping session for journalists introduces you to web scraping techniques using very simple scraping tools. You will learn how to get information from many webpages, documents etc. from simple web-based tools.
