Sasa Vucinic

Co-Founder and Managing Partner, North Base Media

Sasa Vucinic is a co-founder and managing partner of North Base Media, a boutique investment firm specializing in journalism-related media and technology companies serving growth markets, especially in the developing world. Sasa serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee. Prior to setting up North Base Media, he co-founded MDLF in 1995 and served as its Managing Director until 31 March 2011. Before that, he worked for 16 years with media in emerging democracies, as a journalist, manager and consultant. Sasa began his journalistic career on the Belgrade weekly political news magazine Non in 1979, becoming Editor-in-Chief in 1989. In 1990 he was appointed Editor-in-Chief and General Manager of B-92 in Belgrade, Serbia’s most important and respected independent radio station.
