Description

Adele Young is from the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago. She is a PhD fellow in the Netherlands at IHE Delft in the Coastal and Urban Risk Resilience Group, (CURR) and at the Delft Technical University (TUDelft) in the Civil Engineering and Geosciences faculty. Her research is being carried out jointly with the Hydroinformatics group focusing on the influence of spatiotemporal uncertainties on flood forecast decision making in urban data-scarce regions. Adele has over eight years of experience as a Civil and Hydraulic Engineer on several flood hydrological studies and drainage infrastructure design and construction management projects with Alpha Engineering and Design (2012) Ltd. Her past work experience combined with her current research has made her interested in finding innovative solutions to address data limitations in the application of flood risk management strategies.
