Description

Tomeka Frieson, MPH, is a dedicated public servant who is passionate about learning, exploring, and being a scholar-activist within her community. She currently serves as a Project Coordinator for the Community Alliance for Research & Engagement in New Haven, Connecticut, where she oversees a CDC Racial & Ethnic Approaches to Community Health, or REACH, grant and manages the REACH breastfeeding and produce prescription program strategies. She is also the Chair of the New Haven Breast/Chestfeeding Task Force, bringing together multiple interest-holders, community members, organizational leaders, and community partners to pursue breast/chestfeeding equity in New Haven. Tomeka received her Master of Public Health degree in Community Assessment, Program Design, Implementation, and Evaluation, and Maternal and Child Health from the Boston University School of Public Health.
