Dr. Deidre McDaniel is the President & Founder of Health Equity Resources and Strategies (H.E.R.S.). Dr. McDaniel brings over 20 years of experience in maternal and child health, offering guidance to healthcare systems and public/private organizations on effectively implementing and sustaining equitable programs to address disparities. Dr. McDaniel's research interests center around antiracist healthcare practices and eliminating disparities in birth outcomes for Black women. As a licensed certified social worker, she has dedicated her career to improving health outcomes for women and children. As a leader in the field, Dr. McDaniel utilizes effective communication and sound content expertise to assist organizations with operationalizing their visions for creating innovative cultures of equity. Dr. McDaniel serves as Co-Chair of the National Healthy Start Association’s Alliance for Innovation in Maternal Health Community Care Initiative’s community-based maternal safety bundle committees and is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Morgan State University’s Maternal Health Equity Coordinating Center. Her efforts have resulted in successful outcomes and positive impacts on the communities she serves.
