Monica M. Tippens is a graduate of Black Mothers Breastfeeding Association Peer Counselor training program and is currently a Community Breastfeeding Peer Counselor based in Detroit, MI at BMBFA. She began supporting women in her community at a young age, she has always had a passion for encouraging women to feel beautiful and empowered while boosting their confidence. She is a breastfeeding advocate that has successfully breastfed her own babies and can relate to the challenges women and families face while transitioning into parenthood. With a heart and dedication to serving her community and a deep commitment to maternal and child health, Monica has dedicated her career to empowering mothers and supporting them throughout their breastfeeding journeys with a goal to help mothers enjoy a positive breastfeeding experience. Her journey has been one of continuous learning and dedication as she aspires to become a Lactation Consultant, she is proud to make a positive impact on the lives of mothers and their families, and look forward to continuing this important work in the years to come.
