Description

Dr. Liz Malik joined the UW Department of Emergency Medicine as a Global Emergency Medicine and Rural Health Fellow in July 2024. Prior, Dr. Malik was an Emergency Medicine physician at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, a university-affiliated, Level-1 trauma center. She completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Denver Health Hospital in Denver, Colorado in 2021. She completed her doctorate at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2017 where she was a member of the Rural Track program. Dr. Malik holds a B.S. in Biology with a minor in French from Trinity University. Dr. Malik believes in compassionate, patient-centered, and equitable access to emergency medical care for all. She has a special interest in reproductive and human rights, refugee health, and the disproportionate effects of climate change on vulnerable populations worldwide.
