Dr. Livengood is an Acute Care Surgeon, currently working in Ketchikan and Fairbanks. He worked in Level II Trauma Centers for over a decade prior to moving to Alaska. He is a paramedic and supports EMS as a Medical Director for multiple agencies with an emphasis on rural, tactical, wildfire and austere agencies. He has field experience with Mountain Rescue Aspen, Alaska State Trooper Northern SWAT and has provided medical direction for FIS World Cup Skiing and high-profile events. As a tactical medical instructor, he regularly provides instruction for law enforcement in Colorado and Alaska at all levels, starting at the academies.
