His focus is on training emergency responders in de-escalation techniques, trauma-informed care, and mental health awareness, ensuring compassionate, professional care for individuals in crisis. Certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, crisis intervention, and trauma care, Michael is committed to improving emergency response practices and advocating for a more integrated, empathetic approach to mental health care within the EMS field. Their work aims to reduce stigma and equip responders with the skills needed to manage mental health emergencies effectively.
