At Oak Ridge, Dawn reports on the physical sciences and has covered climate science and supercomputing. She has worked as a science writer for Stanford University, senior scientific editor for J. David Gladstone Institutes of Virology and Immunology and of Cardiovascular Disease, and marketing science writer for a global firm. As a freelancer, Dawn has covered biotech, IT and energy. She has served on programs committees for the Northern California Science Writers Association and the National Association of Science Writers. Dawn holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University.
