Linear Abacus

Genovieve Grouios is a director and lead mathematics consultant of Linear Abacus. She has worked in many primary and secondary schools across Victoria to help schools improve the teaching and learning of mathematics. Part of her work includes the creation of a new classroom resource known as the Linear Abacus, which is used to help students make meaning of number, arithmetic and measurement. She has engaged as a curriculum writer for various projects in the Victorian Department of Education which include the Mathematics Curriculum Companion (4-6), the Numeracy HITS (levels 3-8), the National Maths in Schools Professional Learning project with the University of Adelaide, and the Explicit teaching modules with AAMT.
