Melanie F. Ryan has over 30 years of experience in strategic planning, finance, education, nonprofit leadership, and DEI. As CEO of MFR Coaching & Consulting, she creates transformative DEI training programs and advises executives across sectors. Her human-centered approach ensures strategies value people and deliver sustainable results. At Microsoft, Melanie championed DEI initiatives, driving significant cultural impact. Her DEI work is informed by professional expertise and personal experience, including navigating gender barriers and chronic illness. She is a Certified Diversity & Belonging Facilitator and Professional Diversity Coach. Melanie holds a Master's in Social Work from the University of Washington, focusing on educational equity. She founded two nonprofits, Monroe Equity Community and Beck's Place, which address systemic inequity and support disadvantaged families. Her leadership has been recognized with several awards, including the 2022 Evergreen Health Foundation's Dr. Joseph Feek Community Service Award.
