Description

I am an information scientist, educator, and public scholar focusing on technology safety and digital wellbeing in an increasingly complex digital landscape. Over two decades of experience from Miami to Seattle has shaped my 'Starting Where We Are' methodology, which helps people navigate the rapidly evolving spectrum of technologies and their associated risks. I combine academic research with frontline practice to address the widening gap between technological advancement and human adaptation, developing practical security approaches that acknowledge varying levels of digital experience and expertise. My work focuses on identifying technological vulnerabilities, building protective strategies, and implementing team-based security measures that work across diverse contexts and evolving threat landscapes. Whether partnering with organizations to develop resilient digital practices or facilitating hands-on learning for systematic risk assessment, I help teams build sustainable approaches to technology safety and security.
