Collegiate Empowerment

I joined Collegiate Empowerment in 2017 because of a casting call on an acting website. At that time, I was teaching English, Math, and SAT preparation to middle and high-school students by day and doing a lot of independent theater by night. Collegiate Empowerment describes their candidates as “Educational Performers” and, as I read through the job description, I found myself making mental checkmarks (Yup, I do that … and that … and that!). When I applied, my cover letter basically said “This is what I do—you should hire me!” Luckily, they did! I started out as an Educational Performer but, as I’ve grown with the company, I’ve discovered other passions and have been able to lean into them more and more fully. I’m now a content developer with Collegiate Empowerment’s sexual assault education project, The Zero Shades® Trilogy, a true passion project of mine; a coach for Higher Education Professionals; a sales consultant; and one-half of the Team Performance Specialist Team. In addition to still performing for students, I also develop programs and train (and cast) our team members, as well as students and staff in and outside of the collegiate market.
