Donna George has served as the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education's (PASSHE) AOD Coalition Coordinator since 2014. Prior to her statewide role, she was the Prevention Director at California University of Pennsylvania. She also worked in a prevention role for Saint Vincent Prevention Projects from 2001 to 2010. Donna holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Higher Education from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She has recently earned certification as a Wellcoaches School of Coaching Health and Well-being Coach, and she hopes to add some coaching with PASSHE students to her schedule during the upcoming semester. She provides BASICS and CASICS facilitator trainings to all universities within the state system. She has worked in the fields of domestic violence and AOD prevention both in academic and non-profit settings for over thirty years. Donna is committed to prevention, and she believes in effective strategies for their potential to transform both individuals and communities, especially those based on research and/or love and acceptance. She is a strong advocate for support to collegiate prevention efforts and has served on the Commonwealth Prevention Alliance Board. She represents the state of Pennsylvania on the National Consortium of State Coalitions.
