Description

Alicia Kline began a career of service 25 years ago investigating child abuse for Berks County Children and Youth Services. In 2013 Alicia received a master's degree from St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, and became an Intensive Case Manager for the Maternal Intervention Support Services program and program manager for the Pregnant and Parenting Teen Program through Berks Counseling Center. Both programs served parenting women with substance use disorder. In 2015 Alicia became a Prevention Specialist with the Council on Chemical Abuse (COCA) receiving her certification in 2018. As a prevention specialist, Alicia provided prevention education throughout Berks County specializing in the areas of marijuana, brain development, teens and technology, and developed all the supplemental prevention programs facilitated in the community. In December of 2022, Alicia became the Council's new Prevention Program Supervisor. Alicia finds true joy working in the prevention field and remains dedicated to serving her community.
