Description

Melissa Fausey coordinates the Prevention Needs and Resource Assessment project for the PA Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP). She collaborates with DDAP to guide Single County Authorities (SCAs) in assessing how to best distribute drug and alcohol funds in their counties by conducting needs assessments and strategic planning. She is also a Communities That Cares Coach for coalitions in Pennsylvania. Previously, Melissa was a Systems Change Coordinator for Coalition Check-Up, providing technical assistance to coalitions in Pennsylvania and Missouri. She also played a key role in creating Coalition Check-Up materials and technical assistance guides with a focus on emphasizing motivational interviewing techniques. Before coming to EPIS, Melissa was the community coordinator for the Juniata County Prevention Board. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Temple University and is currently enrolled in Penn State University's Project Management Certificate Program.
