Juli Obudzinski is a seasoned policy professional, with over a decade of experience in sustainable agriculture policy and advocacy. She is an independent policy consultant focused on helping organizations identify and explore the critical policy levers that are needed to build a more resilient food and farming system at the state, local, national, and global level. Until 2021, she served as the Deputy Policy Director for the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition, based in Washington, D.C., where she coordinated the coalition’s federal policy work. She worked extensively on sustainable agriculture policy priorities in the 2014 and 2018 Farm Bills and coordinated direct advocacy strategies on Capitol Hill. Previously, Obudzinski worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture at Iowa State University. She currently serves on USDA’s Advisory Committee on Agricultural Statistics, as well as the Advisory Committee on Beginning Farmers and Ranchers. Obudzinski has a background in Agriculture and Food Policy, and holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin and Tufts University.
