Description

Harry is an agroforestry economist, a farmer, and an athlete. He works to grow human capacity and raise our standards for what life on earth can be. Why trees? Years spent trail running, open-water swimming, and whitewater kayaking made the correlation between intact forests, air quality, and water quality apparent and intuitive. The lungs of the planet were breathing life into the lungs of humanity. Why agroforestry? Because the agricultural landscapes that yield the calories we eat can also be complex, diverse, and life-creating beyond just yielding fat, carbs, and protein. Propagate Ventures makes it easy for land managers to integrate profitable tree crops into working farms by bridging the capital and operational gaps needed to plant and manage productive agroforestry systems. Harry and Propagate operate on the thesis that better information begets great land management. Before graduate school, Harry spent two years as a resident athlete at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center, competing in the sport of Modern Pentathlon. Once an Olympic hopeful, he competed on the World Cup circuit in countries such as Mexico and Egypt, and at the 2015 World Championships in Berlin.
