Hannah Hemmelgarn M.S. (she/her), is Assistant Program Director for the University of Missouri Center for Agroforestry. With a diverse background both on-farm and in academia, Hannah recognizes the potential for learning and sharing together to inform the future of sustainable agriculture. She is passionate about perennial tree crops for their contributions to food sovereignty, biocultural conservation, and both ecological-economical resilience. Hemmelgarn works closely with diverse partners, including USDA agencies and a growing partnership with Osage Nation for collaborative land-based research. Her background in permaculture and integrated agroecology led her to the Center for Agroforestry, where she has developed agroforestry curricula and education programs for people of all ages. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Association for Temperate Agroforestry.
