Ms. Young is a native of Colorado and graduate of Lewis-Palmer High school. She also attended the first AAYLC when it became co-ed in the late 90s. In 2002, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in gerontology. In 2008, she graduated with her master’s in aging studies from the University of South Florida. Currently, she is attending the Institute of Black Catholic Studies at Xavier University of Louisiana. Aisha volunteers and is very civically engaged. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, she helps with the Seniors on Saturday program. She is also active in the Colorado Springs Diocese and the current president of the Colorado Springs Council for Black Catholics.
