Maj Jean-Michel is currently an Assistant Professor at the United States Air Force Academy. Prior to assuming her current position, Maj Jean-Michel served as a Licensed Psychologist with the 509th Medical Operations Squadron, Mental Health Flight. She worked to prevent, diagnose and treat a myriad of mental health conditions. She also served as the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment (ADAPT) Program Manager. She commissioned in the Air Force in April 2013 where she completed her Pre-doctoral Internship at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Center at Lackland ABF, Texas. She has extensive training in administering evidence-based assessments and treatments for a variety of disorders to include anxiety disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Major Depressive Disorder, and substance abuse. Capt Jean-Michel’s clinical interests include: PTSD, trauma treatment, and inpatient psychiatry. Her research interests and experiences include: health disparities, help-seeking among ethnic minorities, and cross-cultural psychology.
