Brandon Thompson

University of Virginia

Brandon Thompson is a 3rd year student at UVA studying Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences, with a minor in Government. On Grounds, his main commitments are the UVA Career Center as a Career Peer Educator and Vice Chair for Communication, being a Resident Advisor, and leading a group as a part of the Blueprint Emerging Leaders Program. Along with Brandon Kim and Marrissa Jones, Brandon was the Selections Committee Chair of Hoos First Look, UVA’s first-ever all-expense paid fly-in program to bring 20 low-income/first-gen high school juniors to visit and learn about UVA over 3 days and 2 nights, and will be spearheading the program into the next year. Beyond academia, Brandon bleeds his black and gold from his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, enjoying the sports, the “Yinzer” language, and classic Primanti’s sandwiches.
