Evangelos Lyroudias


Dr. Evangelos Lyroudias trained as an architect at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He graduated first out of 99, and won the “Chryssovergion”, “Thomaidion” and “Sarla” awards. On a three-year scholarship by the State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y.), he received his Doctorate Degree in 1989. His Doctorate Thesis elaborates on the management of change in the city and is titled: “Urban Preservation of Inner City Areas”. He co-established his engineering office, E&L Lyroudias Ltd., in 1984, in Athens. His practice has included the design and construction of a variety of both public and private projects and he has also participated independently as a free-lancer in others. Furthermore, he has been representing the Technical Chamber of Greece in various commissions and he has been the elected President of the Association of Greek Architects since 2008 up to February 2012. On September 1st after the elections of May 2014 he was elected member of the city council of Dionysos, and he was nominated as a deputy mayor of Dionysos Attica, until March 2017.
