Landscape architect and urban planner, Bavarian Chamber of Architects, Munich. In 1980, Rainer Schmidt worked in the Gottfried Hansjakob office in Munich as a project manager and later as an office manager. In 1991, he opened landscape architecture offices in Munich and Berlin, in 1997 another branch in Bernburg / Saale. Rainer Schmidt has been Professor of Landscape Architecture and Design at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin since 1991. He was appointed visiting professor at Peking University, China, and at Berkeley University in California, USA. The philosophy of the international success of the work of Rainer Schmidt landscape architects and urban planners is to make the landscape architecture of the 21st century to stimulate reflections on the attitude of people to each other and to nature.
