Dr. Joachim Geske is energy economist at Imperial College Business School (London, UK). Joachim received his diploma in economics at the University of Bonn. He wrote his PhD thesis at the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) analyzing the economic processes following the German reunification. He then specialized at the Institute of Energy Research - Systems Analysis and Technology Evaluation (IEK-STE, Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany) in energy economics. While gaining experience in international projects he also worked as project leader. His research interests are the economic analysis of energy systems, ranging from applied numerical analyses to current topics in energy policy.
