Laura Brinker

Laura has an academic background in political studies and human geography. She completed her undergraduate degree in Politics at the Free University Berlin, with study abroad at the University of Edinburgh and TERI, New Delhi, and her Masters degree at Oxford's School of Geography. Within the UK Energy Research Centre research programme, her PhD work focuses on energy retail market governance and demand-side energy transitions, with a focus on the UK and the US. In the past, she has also worked for the German Federal Ministry for the Environment on bilateral international energy policy dialogue and EU energy efficiency policy. More recently, she was also a visiting researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab at UC Berkeley, California and an ESRC Knowledge Exchange Scholar with Ofgem's Innovation Link.
