Nazmiye Ozkan

Dr Nazmiye Ozkan is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental/Energy Economics at School of Water, Energy and Environment at Cranfield University. Building on her interdisciplinary training as an urban planner, her research interests include the integration of environment-economy-energy models, socio-technical construction of smart grids, spatial understanding of energy system transitions and associated implications for policy and planning. Over the last ten years, she has been principal or co-investigator on research projects worth over £15M funded via Research Councils UK, the European Commission as well as government agencies and industry. Nazmiye holds a PhD in Regional Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
