Biography – Dr. Benjamin Mackowiak (pronounced “muck-O-vee-ack”) Dr. Mackowiak received his medical training at the NYU School of Medicine in New York City, New York. He then moved to Seattle, Washington, for his Pediatric Residency training at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. He stayed an additional year in Seattle as a chief resident before moving to Nashville, Tennessee, to complete a fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. His Georgia roots called him back to Savannah, Georgia, where he joined the Pediatrix Medical Group of Georgia at Memorial Health University Medical Center in 2014 and now serves as the Assistant Medical Director for the group. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Mercer University School of Medicine. Among his various roles, he also serves as the Associate Pediatric Residency Program Director at Memorial.
