Description

Shannon is a nationally certified inpatient obstetrics and maternal-newborn registered nurse. She practiced as a labor and delivery/mother-baby nurse before transitioning to academia, where she serves as a program director for the BSN program at Emory University's Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. She serves on the Board of Directors for Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia and is their advocacy chair. Born and raised in the Atlanta area, Shannon is determined to improve outcomes for moms and babies in Georgia and has developed an interdisciplinary fellowship for Emory students to grow the next generation of professionals poised to use their unique skills, knowledge, and experiences to enact change related to maternal and infant health.
