Research sub-program leader: Entrepreneurship
Natanya Meyer obtained her Bachelors and Honours degrees in Economics and Risk Management from the NWU. Thereafter she completed a Masters in Development and Management and her PhD in Entrepreneurship (Focus on Female Entrepreneurship) also from the same i stitution. She has more than 40 research publications (sole and co-authored) which were locally and internationally published in peer-reviewed conference proceedings and journals. Her research focus is youth employment, entrepreneurship (youth and females) and local economic development. She is an executive member of the local business chamber and custodian of the youth business chamber and student society, YEBO. She serves on various scientific committees, editorial boards and is co editor of 2 journals. She managed and owned three businesses before joining NWU in 2012.
